The Cartoon and Caricature archive: This is magnificent. The Centre for the study of Cartoons and Caricature at Kent University features an extensive online database. You have to register for it, but it's free and it makes sense. Once you've done that you can search for whatever you want (topic or names) and off you go. A bit like a google img-search but much more rewarding. I've once spent an entire afternoon on it, so it's well worth bookmarking. Direct link to the archive: Link
