Vancouver Special: From wikipedia: "Vancouver Special is an architectural style to describe houses built in the 1970s in Vancouver. They are characterised by their box-like structure gobbling up much of the lot, almost flat roofs, full balconies across the front of the house, and brick or stucco finishes. In many cases the builders never hired architects so Vancouver Specials have similar floor plans with the main living quarters on the upper floor and secondary bedrooms on the bottom, making them ideal for secondary suites. These homes were favoured by immigrants for their spaciousness and were often times a first house purchase."

monochrom is an art-technology-philosophy group having its seat in Vienna and Zeta Draconis. monochrom is an unpeculiar mixture of proto-aesthetic fringe work, pop attitude, subcultural science, context hacking and political activism. Our mission is conducted everywhere, but first and foremost in culture-archeological digs into the seats (and pockets) of ideology and entertainment. monochrom has existed in this (and almost every other) form since 1993.
