Taipei: City-wide public WLAN: by 2006, the city of Taipei will complete its public WLAN. "In this city, you can sit on a speeding MRT train, talking on a mobile phone, and—plip!—send an e-mail to your mother. We will soon complete a wireless network by which you can access the Net anywhere, anytime. Welcome to Taipei, the City of Convenience." Citizens now face the fact that WLAN only works up to 60 km/h - if moving in a car, for example. So mobile phone companies still don't have to fear...

monochrom is an art-technology-philosophy group having its seat in Vienna and Zeta Draconis. monochrom is an unpeculiar mixture of proto-aesthetic fringe work, pop attitude, subcultural science, context hacking and political activism.
