In the South polar region of Mars, some dark stains emerge cyclically. A team of Hungarian researchers analyses pictures of these "Dark Dune Spots" and compares them with similar geological or biological formations on Earth. The spots could be a form of life adapted to Mars' extreme conditions, but how can one verify this hypothesis without being able to check on site?
