Is it true your bike was once stolen from you on the Williamsburg Bridge? It was. It used to be a much dodgier experience going over that bridge in the eighties. I was going uphill and someone ran up behind me and grabbed the underside of the seat and pulled the bike to a stop. And I looked at him and it was this guy who had what looked like a scimitar; I'm sure it was just like an ordinary knife but in my imagination the knife was like a Japanese sword or something like that.
