\n\tthe notorious Viennese art\/technology\/philosophy powerhouse. His
\n\tprojects have been featured in The New York Times, Der Spiegel, San Francisco Chronicle<\/a>, CNN, Slashdot, Boing Boing<\/a>, LA Times, NPR, Gizmodo, Wired<\/a>. He\u00a0(or his lookalike Comrade Chrusov) have been spotted at SXSW<\/a>, TEDxVienna<\/a>,
\n\tMaker Faire, Google’s Tech Talks, Ars Electronica, Mozilla Drumbeat
\n\tBarcelona and underground hacker conferences around the world.<\/p>\n\n\tFrom translating dense political philosophy into internet
\n\tmemes to composing pop musicals about banking software to running the
\n\tfirst (and, inevitably, leading) festival concerned with\u00a0cocktail robotics<\/span>,
\n\tJohannes and Monochrom constantly seek the right medium for their
\n\tmessage(s). Among other projects, they\u2019ve established a one-baud
\n\tsemaphore line through the streets of San Francisco, buried couples
\n\talive in plush surveillant coffins and cracked the hierarchies of the
\n\tart market with a series of elaborate pranks. Now they are taking on the
\n\tsilver screen with the Kickstarter-funded story of Sierra Zulu<\/a>, the last Soviet micro-state.\n\t<\/p>\n\n\tAs our first Toast of the Tip honoree of the fall,
\n\tGrenzfurthner will share his global adventures in subverting subversion
\n\tand discuss some of the oddities of storytelling and filmmaking in a
