\nmonochrom is organizing a community site<\/a> for the evergrowing armada of hackbusses.\n<\/p>\n

\nWe need a root movement of doing strange things
\nwith hardware which was not intended (aka
\n“hacking”) because only when we use things in
\nways other than they were planned can something
\nnew arise.<\/p>\n

Hackbusses (or mobile hacklabs or
\nhack vehicles) are a low-threshold way of
\nbringing the culture of hacking to the people.
\nThey are migratory learning and teaching units,
\ntaking the talented hackers and their ideas out
\nof urban centers and bringing them to people who
\nmight not otherwise be aware of the possibilities
\navailable to them.<\/p>\n

We follow a long tradition of this nomadic approach to bring
\nself-empowerment to the people. These units can be everywhere. And they
\nshould be everywhere. Start one yourself!<\/p>\n
