Who<br \/>\n\telse, considering the ancient philosophical question of what defines the<br \/>\n\thuman race, would venture, &#8220;Man is the only animal that likes Tabasco<br \/>\n\tsauce?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\tBeyond being bold and outlandish, that sort of statement is important because<br \/>\n\tit recognizes that human pleasure is complex. You&#8217;re moving a step<br \/>\n\tbeyond the now-familiar psychology that says we&#8217;re obese because when<br \/>\n\tour ancestors roamed the grasslands, the survivors were the ones<br \/>\n\tprogrammed to enjoy sweets, such as ripe fruits, when they were<br \/>\n\tavailable.
