\n\t“Hedonistika: Montr\u00e9al” was an exhibition held at the Mus\u00e9e d\u2019art
\n\tcontemporain in Montr\u00e9al as part of the International Digital Arts
\n\tBiennial (BIAN) in May 2014. The exhibition was a multi-modal event that
\n\tbrought together food scholars, artists, and roboticists to examine the
\n\tinnumerable (and often hidden) ways in which technology and food are
\n\trelated. By engaging with the
\n\thegemony-challenging ideology of hacking and creating, participants
\n\tinterrogated and exposed the mutually constructive bonds of food and
\n\ttech, while proposing alternative, playful, and stimulating
\n\treconfigurations. The event proposed a hack: a hybrid of bricolage,
\n\tplay, criticality, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The goal of
\n\tHedonistika was to reflect and perhaps undo the assumptions and habits
\n\tthat frame our everyday interactions with both food and technology,
\n\twhile making evident their often-neglected entanglements. The goal was
\n\tto merge research-creation with critical analysis, and community
\n\tengagement with celebration. To compliment the exhibition catalogue we
\n\tare now looking for papers that explore the critical issues within these
\n\trealms.<\/p>\n

\tWe are looking for a diverse range of text \u2013 from academic to more
\n\texperimental. Your contribution should not exceed 40 000 characters
\n\tincluding the title, a short biography (max. 10 lines) and references.
\n\tIn addition, the number of images (diagrams, etc.) should be reduced to
\n\tan absolute minimum. The images must be sent as separate files in
\n\tprint-quality (300dpi) and must be accompanied by complete captions
\n\t(copyright information, source, etc.). The language of publication is
\n\tEnglish.<\/p>\n

\tWe would like you to complete the finished text by
\n\tOctober 31st 2014 by the latest and send the electronic version (as a
\n\tWord document, Times New Roman, font size 12 for the main text, font
\n\tsize 10 for block quotations) to <\/p>\n
